the EU digital goals for 2030
The European Commission has set up numerous ambitious goals for Europe’s Digital Decade 2030, among which:
- Accelerating the digital transformation of the private and public sector through the uptake of advanced digital technologies – targeting to transform 75% of EU companies into Cloud/AI/Big Data users.
- Ensuring that 90% of SMEs in the EU have at least a basic level of digital maturity.
- Creating new European value chains.
European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) and SMEs
The panel enlightened the role of EDIHs in Europe’s digital transition effort, and then further explored the concrete examples coming directly from the representatives of EDIHs and SMEs. Speakers:
- Demonstrated how EDIHs contribute to achieving the EU policy goals.
- Showcased practical hands-on examples of digital transformation.
- Defined the challenges and needs of EDIHs which would help to boost and sustain services in the longer term.
